Temporary transfer to The Netherlands (Holland) within the company group

An internal temporary transfer is a transfer of employees to the Netherlands (Holland) within the same company. The advantages of such possibility is an accelerated procedure of application for work permit (tewerkstellingsvergunning). The application has to be filled by the Dutch (Netherlands) company on behalf of the employee.

In order to execute a transfer the following requirements have to be met:

  1. Corresponding education and work experience(at least bachelor degree);
  2. Salary threshold (the same as with the knowledge migrant scheme): for employees younger than 30 - € 37.121, - per year, for employees of 30 years old or older - € 50.619 per year. However, this criteria is not strict. It is mostly based on the individual assessment of the candidate;
  3. The applicant has to be between 18 and 45 years old.

Besides these requirements there are also several requirements for the foreign company. Such an international company has to be established in at least 3 different states and it’s worldwide annual turnover must be not less than € 50 000 000.
A labour priority test (priority of the EU employees) is not applicable for the intra-company transferees.

The duration of the procedure is between 5 and 6 weeks from the moment of arrival to the Netherlands (Holland).
