Employment of IT specialists in The Netherlands (Holland)

At the present moment Dutch (Netherlands) enterprises can hire foreign IT specialists much faster than it was before. The procedure takes approximately 5 weeks. The main requirement for this is that a foreign company sends its IT specialists to the Netherlands (Holland) in order to provide help with a software developed by such a country.

Only foreign specialists who work with the installation of software for a Dutch (Netherlands) client are eligible for facilitated immigration procedure. Such specialists do no need a Dutch (Netherlands) work permit. They need, however, a Dutch (Netherlands) visa. Usually it is quickly granted in the country of the specialist residence after submitting documents, which confirm an exemption from the Dutch (Netherlands) work permit requirement.

The maximum length of work must not exceed 12 weeks.

For IT specialists from Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand and Japan there is no Dutch (Netherlands) MVV visa requirement. Other non-EU citizens will have to obtain Dutch (Netherlands) MVV visa.
